Meet S Karthika – the fifth of our new Grail Trust children.
It’s not been the best of years for S Karthika. Her father died in July and of course, due to the pandemic, there has been no school either. In normal times, she attends the Hindu Middle School in Mavadi, studying at V Standard.
Karthika, just 10 years old, is the youngest of three. How they are managing is a mystery. Her mother has no work and the family is living with the grandmother, in her house, as can be seen in the second photograph.
It is obvious that the Grail Trust allowance for Karthika will be a huge help.
