From the Chairman of Grail Trust UK, Rev Neil Fairlamb:
Dear Friends and Supporters
The AGM will be held by Zoom on Monday 3rd April at 3.30pm. Please note the change of date from 24th February (as stated in the recent Christmas Newsletter) as two of the UK trustees will be in India on that date. A link to join the meeting will be sent out nearer the date. We will be joined on Zoom by our partner trustees of Grail Trust India; very sadly, we will miss Dr Abraham, one of our Indian trustee partners, who has died after a long medical career totally dedicated to the welfare of his community, especially its poorer members. He joined us by Zoom for our last two AGM meetings.
An agenda will be prepared and sent out in advance of the AGM, together with a statement of accounts to be received at the meeting. Any proposed questions or topics for discussion will be welcome, with a request that notice be sent at least a week before the meeting.
We will also at the AGM show the latest photos from the project as my fellow trustee Lynda Chugg and I will be in Tamil Nadu for two weeks, February 19th to March 3rd; a highlight will the Mega-Meet on Sunday 26th February when all the Grail Trust families are invited to a gathering, very kindly organised by our Indian chairman, Mr Natesan.
Our Christmas Appeal produced a total of £5461 which was a very good result in a period of economic uncertainty; donations were £4906 and eligible Gift Aid enhancement was £555. Many thanks to all who supported the Appeal and who give at other times. Regular standing orders help us plan our support for 110 children and our treasurer, Michael Jordan, can help with this: email to
